Tough As Nails: DanielSample

The book of Daniel spans approximately 70 years, running from 605 BC until 536 BC. It is a period of history that the Jews call the Babylonian exile when the majority of the nobles of their nation were in captivity in a foreign country. Today we call that country Iraq. Much was happening both inside and outside of Israel. Many of the details can get confusing. So, the purpose of this Bible reading plan is to help connect the dots chronologically between the prophets and kings in Israel and those in exile. Therefore, we are going to try to give you two or three readings a day that will take less than 10 minutes but will connect Babylon to Israel and the narrative of Daniel to the poetry and prophecy surrounding it. Roughly speaking, each reading takes place within the same decade of time.
