Chapter 23 includes a poem that reflects on the consequences of not seeking wisdom and understanding; comparing one who turns from the way of wisdom to someone who is allured by the sweetness of wine, becoming drunk and not even being aware of the consequences. In chapter 24, wisdom is compared to honey. The author reflects on the idea that while honey is sweet to taste, wisdom is sweet for the human soul.
This week we are praying for Taiwan. Let's pray for the leader of Taiwan today. Her name is Tsai Ing-wen. Let's pray that she would come to know the One True God and that she would lead her country with wisdom and uprightness.
