In these next chapters, John outlines the events that unfold prior to the death of Jesus on the cross. We must remember with Jesus’s final words on the cross "It is finished," he was not crying out in defeat, but declaring victory! John states his purpose of writing this Gospel within these chapters: that we may believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and in doing so, have life in his name. After his resurrection, Jesus goes on to appear to his disciples and continues to leave them with instructions on a Godly way of life, service, devotion, and love. 

Global Prayer Focus:
Afghanistan has had an extremely difficult history during the last three decades, with wars and extreme violence from Taliban oppressors. Let's pray that the government finds suitable and expedient answers for these threats of violence.
