River Valley Church Soap - Part 12Sample

Paul continues his thoughts about the nation of Israel and asks rhetorical questions if they, Israel, can be saved? Paul immediately reminds the readers that God always has a remnant who will serve Him. Paul explains that some have been broken off and have left the covenant God had made with them. Still, as they were broken off, it made provision and opportunity for Gentiles to come to the Kingdom of God. Paul then sums up his metaphor of the olive tree by saying that it is essential not to be ignorant of this mystery but that it has always been a part of God's plan to save Israel. In chapter 12, Paul transitions to explaining how they can effectively live and be in harmony together by using their spiritual gifts. Paul concludes the chapter with instruction on living in love with one another with sincere love, looking to help those who are disenfranchised. When persecution occurs, give to your enemy, look to the Lord to meet their needs, and overcome evil with good.
Global Prayer Focus:
This week we will be praying for Jordan. Let's pray for their leader, Omar Razzaz, that he may lead with integrity and would respond to the hand of God.
