God's Plan

DAY 1 OF 7

Do you get tired of people asking you, “what’s your plan after high school?” Our culture loves to have a plan. We want to know what’s going to happen so we can be prepared and in control. The problem is that our plans often end miserably. We can’t see the future, so it’s impossible to be 100% sure about anything. But the good news is that God has a greater plan than anything we can imagine. Over the next week, we’re going to dive into the story of a man named Jonah. Maybe you’ve heard of him before. Jonah was a prophet. His job was to receive messages from God and give them to the people. God had a plan for Jonah that was much different than Jonah’s plan for himself, but Jonah wanted to be in control. Let’s see what we can learn about God’s plans from Jonah’s story this week.

Challenge: Make a list of things you already know about Jonah’s story, then ask God to teach you something new this week.
