God's PlanSample

God spared Jonah’s life by swallowing him up with a giant fish. While inside, Jonah finally surrendered to God. He thanked God and acknowledged that he was really in control. Even when Jonah continuously disobeyed God, God still spared Jonah’s life and gave him grace. Even when we finally submit to God’s plans, we sometimes still feel bitter or like God is taking something away from us. In reality, God is sparing us from the consequences of our own choices. Instead of submitting to God’s plans with resentment, try trusting God’s plan with thankfulness, knowing that he’s in control. God is ready to give us grace, even in our disobedience. He knows what’s best for us.
Challenge: Write a song or poem to God like Jonah did, or just take time to journal or pray out loud.Thank him for his grace even in our disobedience.

About this Plan

Our culture loves to have a plan. We want to know what’s going to happen so we can be prepared and in control. The problem is that our plans often end miserably. We can’t see the future, so it’s impossible to be 100% sure about anything. But the good news is that God has a greater plan than anything we can imagine.
