Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Look at "UsSample

Have you heard people say this, “Wah, your son looks a lot like his father, the younger one like his mother.” How do you feel when you hear that? How do your children feel?

More than family resemblance, the Bible verse we just read reminds us of who we are. We are created in the image of God, or in other words, we share a lot of Godly traits. Alas, sin makes us lose our true identity. Sins separate us from our Creator. Sin serves us with false Truth that says we are not created in His image.

Let’s go back to the Word of God. We are God’s most special creation for we are created in His image. He created us lovingly and He continues to love us even when sins tear us away from Him. God was willing to sacrifice Jesus to die on the cross to return to us our true identity.

Devotion for Parents
We are proud and happy when our children look like us. Similarly, God is joyful when his children – us – live a life that reflects His loving kindness.
