Have you ever wished for a do-over? Maybe you’ve wanted to turn back time and start over. Regret is one of the worst feelings in the world, and if we were honest, most of us have regrets about past choices or mistakes. But regret isn’t the end of our story.
Paul explained it like this: “The old has gone, and the new has come.” What is the “old” he talked about? The “old” life is a life separated from God. A life marked with guilt, shame, pride, selfishness, and condemnation. But this old life passes once we are born again in Christ. The old life is gone, and the new life has come. When we accept Christ, we don’t receive an old, recycled life. Instead, we receive a completely new, fresh life!
This is a reminder of the powerful newness we have in Christ. God’s grace is bigger than any of our regrets. And even though the consequences of past mistakes may linger, in Christ, we have the ultimate do-over. There is no reason to be weighed down with regret. Each day is a gift. It’s a new opportunity to live a life that pleases God, relying on His strength, not our own.
Are you carrying the burden of regret? If so, lay it down at the foot of the cross and embrace the newness of God’s mercy and grace for you today.

About this Plan

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
