Uncharted

DAY 4 OF 30

You may have seen Romans 6:23 on a church pamphlet, bumper sticker, or even painted on a rock along the road. But what does this verse really mean for us today?

Simply put, it reminds us that while our mistakes and wrong choices have consequences, God’s love and grace are bigger than all of that. Because God is fair and just, our mistakes can’t just be ignored. Here’s the good news: He provided a way for us to be restored from our sin.

God sent His Son to bear the consequences of our sin so that we could have a fresh start and a new chance to live in connection with Him. Not because we earned it, but because it’s God’s gift to us. So, while the result of our mistakes would be separation from God, God’s grace offers us eternal life. We don’t have to fix all of our mistakes to receive it; we have to accept His gift and invite Jesus to make things right.

About this Plan

Uncharted

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
