Children's Guide to the Miracles of JesusSample

Day 4: Jesus Prays to God for Help
Jesus now had so many followers that he needed help teaching everyone. Jesus wanted God's help, so one night he climbed up a mountain to pray. He asked God to help him choose twelve special disciples.

Why do you think Jesus asked God instead of just choosing himself? When do you ask your parents for help? Did you learn anything from how Jesus asked God for help?
The next morning Jesus chose his twelve disciples. Their names were Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot.
Can you remember all their names?
