Day 19 – BE LOVE: Spread the Love
Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:1
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus started a movement. Not a trend. Not a temporary moment. A movement that changed the way people saw one another and lived together.
Before Jesus, society was clearly divided. Men held power while women were often overlooked. Children were considered unimportant. Social status determined value. People labeled as sinners or unclean were pushed to the margins. But when Jesus came, He flipped those expectations upside down. Women were treated with dignity. Children were welcomed and blessed. Servants and masters were called brothers and sisters. Forgiveness replaced revenge. Love replaced exclusion.
Those who followed Jesus stood out because of how they lived.
When Jesus returned to heaven, the movement did not end. In fact, it was just getting started. Before He left, He gave His followers clear instructions. They were to go, make disciples, and teach others to live according to what He had taught them. What they had received was never meant to be kept to themselves.
The disciples learned directly from Jesus. They watched how He treated people. They listened to His teaching. Then they lived it out in their own lives and invited others to do the same. That pattern continued again and again.
Paul is a powerful example of how this love spread. He did not follow Jesus during His earthly ministry. In fact, he once opposed it. But after encountering Jesus, his life changed completely. Paul went on to bring the message of Jesus far beyond its original borders, into new cities, cultures, and nations. Much of the New Testament is made up of letters he wrote to help believers understand how to live out their faith in practical ways.
That is why Paul could confidently say, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” He was not asking people to copy him perfectly. He was pointing them back to Jesus. Learn from Christ. Live like Christ. Help others do the same.
To be love means allowing what God has done in you to keep moving outward. It means sharing what you have received, not only through words, but through actions, attitudes, and everyday choices. Love spreads best when it is lived.
The movement continues today.
And you are part of it.

About this Plan

You are Beloved. Called to be loved. Sent to be love. This 21-day devotional invites students to discover who they are in Christ, learn how to receive God’s love, and live that love out daily. Through Scripture, honest reflection, and real-life examples, students will explore their identity, respond to God’s invitation, and grow in what it means to love like Jesus. Whether faith feels new or familiar, this plan challenges students to trust God’s heart, choose His way, and let love shape how they live.
