Day 1 – BELOVED: Your Identity
Scripture: Song of Solomon 2:9, Jeremiah 11:15, Ephesians 5:25
You are BELOVED.
Not tolerated. Not barely accepted. Loved.
That word might sound familiar, but do we really understand how deep it goes?
One of the books in the Bible that uses the word beloved the most is Song of Solomon. It’s a love story. A bold, emotional, passionate dialogue between a man and a woman who are deeply in love. They constantly refer to each other as “my beloved,” meaning my loved one, the one my heart is set on. It can feel surprising to find something so romantic in the middle of the Bible, but it’s there on purpose.
Why? Because God often uses the language of marriage to describe His relationship with us.
In Jeremiah 11, God speaks with heartbreak, not indifference. He calls His people My beloved even while confronting their unfaithfulness. Like a spouse who has been deeply hurt, His anger flows from love, not rejection. Throughout Scripture, God makes it clear. His connection to us is not distant or casual. It is personal, committed, and self-giving.
The New Testament takes this even further. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are told to love their wives the way Christ loved the Church. How did Christ love? By giving Himself fully. By sacrificing everything.
That means God’s love for you isn’t based on your performance, your consistency, or your ability to get it right. It is rooted in who He is. A love that gives without holding back. A love that chooses you, even when you struggle to choose Him back.
The world will try to name you by what you do, what you fail at, or how others see you. But God starts with something deeper.
Before anything else, this is your identity:
You are BELOVED.
Say it. Sit with it. Let it reshape how you see yourself.
About this Plan

Through Scripture, honest reflection, and real-life examples, students will explore their identity, respond to God’s invitation, and grow in what it means to love like Jesus. Whether faith feels new or familiar, this plan challenges students to trust God’s heart, choose His way, and let love shape how they live.
