DAY 6 OF 21

Day 6 – BELOVED: Believe It

Scripture: Malachi 1:2, John 3:16, John 15:16

Most people enjoy hearing kind words or receiving compliments. Yet some people struggle to accept them. They assume the person saying them doesn’t really mean it or is just being polite. Words that were meant to warm your heart, encourage you, and boost your confidence end up being dismissed and falling to the ground.

That same thing often happens when it comes to God.

In Malachi, the Lord tells His people, “I have loved you,” and their response is doubt. They question His love, even after everything He has already done for them. That doubt matters, because if we don’t believe God’s love, trusting anything else He says becomes difficult.

God’s love is not abstract or unclear. Jesus said it plainly: “For God so loved the world.” And God backed those words with action. He sent His Son. Jesus lived among people, loved them fully, and laid down His life as the ultimate expression of love.

Still, believing that kind of love can be hard. Past experiences, disappointment, and insecurity can make God’s words feel distant or unreal. But God’s love does not depend on your feelings, your performance, or your consistency. It depends on who He is.

Jesus reminds us that we did not choose Him first. He chose us. That truth is meant to be received, not brushed aside.

If you’ve been waiting for another sign, let this be it.

God loves you.
Believe it.

You are BELOVED.

About this Plan

BeLOVE(d)

You are Beloved. Called to be loved. Sent to be love. This 21-day devotional invites students to discover who they are in Christ, learn how to receive God’s love, and live that love out daily. Through Scripture, honest reflection, and real-life examples, students will explore their identity, respond to God’s invitation, and grow in what it means to love like Jesus. Whether faith feels new or familiar, this plan challenges students to trust God’s heart, choose His way, and let love shape how they live.
