Day 9 – BE LOVED: Surrender

Scripture: Matthew 11:28

Life can be heavy.

You don’t get to choose everything you walk into. You face pressure from school, family, relationships, expectations, finances, and the future. Choosing to follow Jesus doesn’t magically remove those challenges. Faith doesn’t erase stress, disappointment, or hard seasons.

So what does Jesus actually offer?

In Matthew 11, Jesus speaks to people who are worn out. People who are tired of carrying life on their own. He doesn’t promise an easy life. He offers something deeper. Rest for your soul.

Surrender doesn’t mean giving up or pretending things don’t hurt. It means admitting that you were never meant to carry everything by yourself. It means loosening your grip on control and trusting Jesus with the weight you’ve been holding.

When Jesus says, “Come to me,” He’s inviting you to stop striving in your own strength. To stop trying to fix everything alone. To bring Him your exhaustion, your fear, your confusion, and even your questions. He doesn’t shame you for being tired. He welcomes you.

Life may not suddenly feel lighter on the outside, but surrender changes what’s happening on the inside. It brings peace in the middle of pressure. Strength when you feel weak. Rest even when the situation hasn’t changed.

To be loved means trusting Jesus enough to place your burdens in His hands. Not once. Not perfectly. But daily.

You don’t have to carry this alone.
