DAY 11 OF 21

Day 11 – BE LOVED: Forgiven

Scripture: Psalm 103:8-12; 1 John 1:9

How many times are you willing to let something slide? How much is too much to forgive?

As humans, we tend to measure offenses. Some wrongs can be made right with a simple apology. Others feel unforgivable. Some people are given a few chances, but once the limit is reached, they’re done. That’s how forgiveness usually works in our world.

Because of that, it can be hard to believe that God would continue to forgive over and over again. We may wonder if our mistakes are too serious, too frequent, or too embarrassing for Him to forgive. We assume that eventually God must get tired of offering grace.

But the Bible tells a different story.

Psalm 103 describes God as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love. When God forgives, He does not hold your past over your head or bring it back up later. Scripture says He removes our sin as far as the east is from the west. That distance never closes.

First, John makes this even clearer. When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. Forgiveness is not based on how good your apology sounds or how much guilt you feel. It’s based on who God is.

To be loved means trusting that God means what He says. When He forgives, it’s complete. You don’t have to earn your way back. You don’t have to punish yourself. You don’t have to stay stuck in yesterday.

If you’re carrying guilt from the past, hear this clearly: forgiveness is available. Not someday. Not after you fix yourself. Right now.

Come to Him.
Confess.
Receive forgiveness.
