Day 20 – BE LOVE: Choose Today
Scripture: Joshua 24:14–16
God’s love is powerful. It is generous, patient, and life-changing. Throughout this plan, you’ve seen what it looks like to be loved by God and how that love is meant to flow through your life. But love always invites a response.
Being a Christ follower comes with a choice.
The world offers its own version of how to live. You are encouraged to put yourself first, chase what feels good, protect your own interests, clap back when someone comes for you, and cut people off when they disappoint you. That way of living can sound appealing, especially when love feels costly or inconvenient.
But God offers a different way.
Choosing to live in God’s love means choosing to reflect it. That choice does require change. It requires letting go of some things and trusting God with others. It asks you to consider not just what feels right in the moment, but what leads to life in the long run.
The Bible gives us a clear picture of this choice through the story of Joshua. Joshua had seen God do incredible things. He watched God free the Israelites from slavery, guide them through the wilderness, and lead them into the land He promised them. When the people were finally settled, Joshua gathered them and reminded them of everything God had done.
Then he made something clear. He could not make their decision for them.
Joshua told the people that they had a choice. They could serve God, or they could follow the other influences around them. But Joshua also made his own decision public. He declared, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua understood that love and faith are not passive. They are chosen.
To be love means deciding, again and again, which way you will live. It means choosing God’s way even when other options feel easier or more popular. It means letting your life reflect the love you have received.
The choice is in front of you.
Choose Jesus.
Choose love.

About this Plan

You are Beloved. Called to be loved. Sent to be love. This 21-day devotional invites students to discover who they are in Christ, learn how to receive God’s love, and live that love out daily. Through Scripture, honest reflection, and real-life examples, students will explore their identity, respond to God’s invitation, and grow in what it means to love like Jesus. Whether faith feels new or familiar, this plan challenges students to trust God’s heart, choose His way, and let love shape how they live.
