Understanding RighteousnessSample

Peace, Joy, and the Rest of God
Scripture: Isaiah 32:17-18
“The work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places."
Devotional
Righteousness often creates an atmosphere of peace and satisfaction, even in the midst of challenges. This is the opposite of the anxiety that compromise can bring. We are encouraged to find our value not in our possessions, but in our relationship with Christ. Paul in Romans 14:17 reminds us the same when he says that, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”. God invites us into a deep rest and a quiet confidence that comes from knowing we are fully accepted and that He is pleased with us.
Reflection Questions:
- Is my current life marked by peace and quiet confidence, or by nervousness and anxiety caused by compromise?
- Am I allowing things I possess or do not possess to define my value?
Prayer Declaration
Lord, I thank You that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy. I declare that I am not defined by the world’s standards but by Christ. I choose to walk in righteousness today so that I may fully enjoy the rest of God—the quietness and confidence that fills the land forever. Amen.

About this Plan

Righteousness is a gift. It is not something you work for, struggle for, or attain through personal effort. This 18-day plan from Pastor Stephen Waiganjo and Ruach West Assembly is designed to help you explore how the Gift of Righteousness is your permanent, non-negotiable qualification. Through reflection, and prayer, we invite you to move past the weight of human effort and rest in the grace of your right standing with God.
