SO BE ITSample

I Got Saved
by Chris Brown
Being saved is not just religious jargon. It means something real and powerful happened: I was stuck, then I got set free. I was headed one way, and now I’m not. I had chains that held me, then suddenly I was released. I’m walking evidence of Jesus’ words: “Who the Son sets free is free indeed.” (John 8:36)
From the moment I was washed clean and forgiven, I stopped being defined by my worst moment or hardest struggle. God doesn’t forgive halfway or keep records just in case.
Clean means clean.
Forgiven means finished.
Psalm 103:12 says He’s cast my sins as far as the east is from the west. So I don’t have to keep carrying the shame that Jesus already paid for.
If this is my reality now, then how could I not be bold about this abundant life I’ve stepped into? Staying silent about what Jesus has done for me doesn’t make sense. I’m simply giving credit where it belongs. I called on Jesus, and He answered. And now I’m living proof of what the mercy of God can do. And because His grace is sufficient and his heart is good, I’m now a child of the King.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for answering when I called. Help me live today like someone who knows what You’ve done and walks in the reality that I’ve been chosen by You. Amen.
