Bigger Than UsSample

Psalm 89 is a song of praise written by Ethan the Ezrahite, exalting the God who keeps His promises. In verse 8, Ethan asks a rhetorical question: Who is mighty like You, Lord?—and the answer is obvious: no one. What makes this verse powerful is the pairing of might and faithfulness. God’s strength isn’t cold or distant; it’s wrapped in reliability. He is powerful enough to create the heavens and yet faithful enough to keep every word He has spoken. His power ensures He can fulfill His promises, and His faithfulness ensures He will. When life feels uncertain, this verse calls us to remember that God’s faithfulness is not fragile or occasional—it surrounds Him. It’s the atmosphere of His presence. Every action He takes, every plan He allows, every promise He makes is saturated with faithfulness.
So when you can’t see the outcome, you can still trust the One who holds it. God’s strength may shake the earth, but His faithfulness will steady your heart.
Anchor your confidence in God’s character. When fear or doubt creep in, remind yourself that His faithfulness is part of His identity—not a mood or a moment.
Praise before the proof. Worship God for His faithfulness even when you’re still waiting for the evidence of it.
Reflect His steadiness. In a world of broken promises, be someone whose words and actions mirror the faithfulness of your God.

About this Plan

The real challenge in life is not how well we start but how we stay faithful over time. In this devotional, we will journey with God’s people as they move from brokenness to renewal. We’ll meet a God who uses personal burdens, teamwork, perseverance through opposition, His Word, and lifelong faithfulness to accomplish His purposes. When the opposition feels too strong, there’s a bigger God who meets us in the middle of it all—a God who works in and through ordinary people.
