Real Relationships

DAY 7 OF 15

Is Someone in Your Life a Drain or a Danger?

Not everyone is safe. And not everyone should have access to you.

Build boundaries around the foolish. Bar the door from the evil.

Some people are a mess. Others are a menace. You’ve got to know the difference.

Fools live in the flesh. They’re unreliable, selfish, full of excuses, and allergic to responsibility. You give them advice, they ignore it. You give them your time, they waste it. Fools aren’t evil, but they’ll wear you down if you don’t set clear boundaries.

Evil people, on the other hand, live by the demonic. They’re deceptive, destructive, and dangerous. They don’t just drain you, they devour you. These are the wolves the Bible warns about. And the only way to stay safe is distance. Restraining orders, counselors, spiritual covering, you need professional boundaries, not casual grace.

It may feel harsh to walk away, but it’s actually obedience. Jesus Himself drew hard lines with evil. So should we.

The hard truth? Some people aren’t just broken, they’re dangerous. You’re not unloving for protecting yourself or your family. You’re being obedient. Jesus called out wolves, flipped tables, and walked away from toxic people. If the Son of God set boundaries, so should you.

Evil doesn’t stop until it’s stopped. Don’t give wolves access to your home, your heart, or your kids. You’re not called to fix them, you’re called to flee from them and follow the Good Shepherd.

Are you treating a wolf like a sheep? Are you enabling a fool like they’re wise?
