Day 19: Your Work Is Your Witness
Scripture: Micah 6:8 (NIV)
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
Impact doesn't always look like ministry. Sometimes it looks like running a business that treats employees like humans. Like doing your job with excellence when everyone else is cutting corners. Like being the person in the room who refuses to go along with something that's wrong.
Micah lays it out simply: act justly, love mercy, walk humbly. That's not a job description for pastors. That's a description of how God's people are supposed to move through the world, in every space they occupy.
Your future job, whatever it is, is a mission field. The way you do your work is a witness. Not because you're supposed to preach at your coworkers, but because the quality of your character speaks before you ever open your mouth.
A business that treats people with dignity is a Kingdom statement. A student who refuses to cheat is a Kingdom statement. A leader who gives credit instead of taking it is a Kingdom statement. You don't have to be in ministry to be in ministry.
The Kingdom of God advances through ordinary people doing ordinary things with extraordinary integrity. That's you. In your school, your job, your neighborhood, your future.
Reflect: How does the way you work, study, or lead right now reflect the Kingdom of God? Where does it fall short?
Today: In whatever work is in front of you today, do it with justice, mercy, and humility. Let your work be your witness.

About this Plan

Kingdom Grind is a 20-day devotional designed to help high school students connect their faith to real, everyday life. Over four weeks, students explore four foundational themes —vision, integrity, stewardship, and impact — through Scripture, honest reflection, and a practical daily action step. Each devotional is grounded, direct, and built for students who want their faith to shape not just who they are, but what they build.
