CHOOSE RIGHT

选择正路

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deuteronomy 30:19).

我今天呼天唤地地向你作见证；我将生、死、祝福、咒诅都摆在你面前，所以你要拣选生命，使你和你的种子都得存活。（申命记30:19）

In life, there’re decisions to be made, and it’s not the more beautiful and attractive choices that are necessarily from God. The choices we make are so important, as they can make or mar our destiny. Take, for instance, the story of Elimelech and his household, who relocated to Moab, married Naomi, and had two sons, Mahlon and Chilon. 

人生中需要做很多决定，那些更美的、更有吸引力的选择不一定是从神而来的。我们所作的决定是如此重要，因为这些选择将或成全或损毁我们的命运。比如迁到摩押地的以利米勒和他家人的故事，他娶了拿俄米，有两个儿子：玛伦和基连。

However, as time went by, the man and his two sons, who were now also married, passed away. Following their demise, Naomi decided to return to her hometown, BethlehemJudah, but the two wives of her sons, Ruth and Orpah insisted they’d follow her, but Naomi wouldn’t let them. She gave them very legitimate reasons to return to their own homeland (read entire account in Ruth 1:1-16). Orpah eventually chose to return to her people, but Ruth made the decision to abide with Naomi, and she went with her to BethlehemJudah.

Both Ruth and Orpah loved to abide with Naomi; they genuinely loved her and wanted to stay with her, but here was a decision point in their lives. When Orpah turned away from Naomi and went back to her people, her life and destiny changed completely from that moment. Jewish history gives a detailed record of how she eventually became the mother of Goliath, the Philistine giant of Gath, who was slain by David. 

路得和俄珥巴都愿意与拿俄米一同生活，她们真心爱她，想要和她在一起，但这是她们人生的一个决策点。当俄珥巴离开拿俄米回到自己的族人那里去的时候，她的人生和命运在此时就完全改变了。犹太历史详细记录了她如何最终成为了歌利亚的母亲，歌利亚是迦特地的非利士巨人，被大卫所杀。

The question then would be, why would Ruth choose rather to stay with Naomi, when the “sensible” thing to have done was to go back and start her life afresh, as Orpah did? It was about the worship of God, and the life of faith she had seen with Naomi, which she was attracted to; that’s what she didn’t want to give up. Her choice paid off, because she would later marry a relative of Elimelech, by the name of Boaz. Boaz became the father of Jesse, who became the father of David, a lineage from where Christ came.

我们的问题是，为什么路得会选择跟随拿俄米，而没有选择那看起来更“明智”的选择，回到她的族人那里重新开始新的人生，好像俄珥巴那样呢？这是因为她在拿俄米身上所看到对神的敬拜和一种信心的生命，她被此吸引，这是她不愿放弃的。她的选择得到了回报，因为她后来嫁给了以利米勒的一个亲戚，名叫波阿斯。波阿斯是耶西的父亲，耶西是大卫的父亲，而基督就来自这个谱系。

No one is ever a fool for trusting the Lord and choosing the way of the Spirit. Like Naomi, always choose right; choose the way of the Spirit, and not that which seems right, practical, and sensible in the sight of men. 

凡信靠主，选择圣灵之路的没有一个是愚昧的。你要像拿俄米一样总是选择正路，选择圣灵的道路，而不要选择在人的眼中看为正、看为实际、合理的道路。

Christ has been made unto me, wisdom; therefore, I’m wise, and I make wise choices; Word-based choices. I’m precise and accurate in all that I do, walking in God’s perfect will and purpose for my life. I have Christ, and I’m in Christ, and He’s everything I’ll ever require, because I’m a joint-heir with Him. Glory to God! 

基督成为了我的智慧，因此我是智慧的，我会做出智慧的选择、根基于神道的选择。凡我所作的事情上，我明确精准地行在神对我完美的旨意中。基督在我里面，我也在祂里面，祂是我所需要的一切，因为我是与祂同为后裔的。荣耀归于神！
