God’s Kingdom Is the Real Treasure
Matthew 13:45
God’s kingdom is like a merchant looking for fine pearls
Jesus told the disciples a story. There was a man who found some treasure in a field. The next thing he did, he sold off all his belongings and bought the field that had the treasure!
Jesus was trying to teach His people that the treasure refers to the kingdom of Heaven. When we meet with Jesus, it means we have found the real treasure in our life. When we truly realise the worth of the salvation Jesus gives us and the worth of His kingdom, we will joyfully trade our old life for the new life with Jesus. It means, we will be willing to leave behind our unproductive habits, our addiction to things, our pride and fame, and to start a new life with Jesus as the centre of it all.
God’s kingdom is the real treasure that meets our every need. God’s kingdom is priceless and it is the most precious thing in life. God’s kingdom is the source of joy. When we have the kingdom of God in our heart, we have the most precious thing in life.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for being the treasure in my heart. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
