DAY 13 OF 30

Imagine you’re driving in heavy fog or rain. You can’t see more than a few feet ahead of you, but you trust the road is still there and that your headlights will guide you. So, you keep driving. Faith works the same way. We may not see the whole journey, but God is there at every step.

When Paul wrote these words to the Corinthians, he reminded them that their hope shouldn’t be rooted in what they could see or touch. In the surrounding verses, He talked about the eternal home God has prepared for each of us and the promise that we’ll one day be with Him and that we will receive glorified, immortal bodies where we will finally be free of all burdens and difficulties experienced by every living thing on Earth.

When Paul talked about living “by sight,” he meant that we depend on evidence before we believe something is true. But as he explained, as Christians, we’re called to live by faith. That means trusting God’s promises and His character even when the road ahead is foggy.

For you, that means choosing trust over fear. Maybe it means putting aside visible evidence and instead choosing to believe that God is at work, even when you can’t see it. Where in your life do you need to give God your fears and start having faith in His perfect plan? What would it look like today to take a step in faith even when you don’t have all the answers?

About this Plan

Uncharted

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
