Uncharted

DAY 16 OF 30

What does it mean that God is faithful? It means that He is true to His word. It means that when He makes a promise, He’ll keep it. It means that He is the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and this unchanging nature means we can rely on Him through every season.

The book of Deuteronomy, meaning “the second telling of the law,” records Moses’ words to Israel before they entered the Promised Land. He reminded them of their special covenant relationship with God and urged them to stay faithful, pointing back to God’s proven track record of keeping His promises.

Life is full of change. Our jobs, our bodies, our plans, our relationships—if one thing in life is certain, it’s change. In the midst of our constantly changing world, remember that God was faithful to His people throughout the Bible, and He is faithful to you today. When you’re facing unwanted or unexpected change, when you’re on an uncharted path, hold onto the truth that God will fulfill His promises, as He has always done.

About this Plan

Uncharted

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
