Uncharted

DAY 19 OF 30

Paul was clear: when the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives, and we’re focused on following and knowing Jesus, the Spirit produces fruit in us. We become more and more like Jesus, who lived out this fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—while on Earth.

God's nature is repeatedly defined in Scripture by three concepts: righteous character, gracious compassion, and unfailing love. Paul explained to the Galatians, and us, that when the Spirit leads, we don’t need a rigid set of rules to live by. Instead, our lives are transformed to become more and more like Jesus. We produce fruit that naturally comes through a relationship with God. We become the people we are supposed to be.

The fruit of the Spirit isn’t a checklist; it’s a reflection of God’s character working in and shining through us. When we live out God’s love and goodness, we become a testimony of His transforming power and love in a world that desperately needs it.

About this Plan

Uncharted

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
