Uncharted

DAY 23 OF 30

Contrary to popular belief, revenge is not sweet. It’s tempting to want revenge when someone hurts or wrongs us. We may think that getting even will make us feel better or even bring about justice. But the truth is, holding onto anger and plotting payback often leaves us bitter and exhausted. In fact, studies have shown that anger and revenge can lead to real health problems like headaches, backaches, high blood pressure, and heart attacks. So, while we focus on getting even, it’s usually our own peace and well-being that suffer.

Are you holding onto a grudge? Are you carrying anger or wanting to get payback for a wrong? Instead of taking things into your own hands, let go and allow God to handle the situation. He is the ultimate and perfect judge, and you can trust that He’ll seek fairness and justice when they are warranted.

About this Plan

Uncharted

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
