UnchartedSample

What are some luxuries in your daily life that you can’t live without? Your morning coffee? Your phone? Your music streaming service? It’s nice to have things that make our lives just a little bit better! But as good as those things are, they can’t fulfill our real needs. They can’t satisfy what truly matters. These worldly things may feel great in the moment, but we’ll always be reaching for more. We’ll always be searching for something only Jesus can provide.
In Jesus’ day, bread was the staple of everyone’s diet. It’s what they depended on for nourishment and strength. It’s what satisfied their cravings and gave them life. In this passage, Jesus declared that He is all those things. He is the bread of life—the One who nourishes and strengthens our souls. Jesus is truly the only One who can quench the thirst in our hearts and give us life. And just like we need food every day to nourish us, we need to go to Jesus every day to fill our souls. So, while the conveniences of modern life may make our day-to-day a little bit easier, only Jesus can give us what we really need.

About this Plan

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
