UnchartedSample

Nature is a beautiful example of God’s provision. The birds flying in the air, the bunnies romping in the grass, the foxes scampering in the woods. God cares for every one of them. And because God provides for all of creation, they don’t worry about the future. They live in the moment and trust that rain will come, that food will grow, and that they will be provided for.
God faithfully provides for His creation, including us! Jesus says that believers don’t need to live in anxiety about the basic needs of life. Living to serve God includes trusting Him to provide what is necessary without living in fear.
In this verse, Jesus asked a pointed question: “Are you not more valuable than birds?” The implied answer, of course, is that God's children are more valuable to God than birds. If God feeds the birds, He will also feed those who are of greater worth than birds. Instead of worrying about basic needs, Jesus urges us to trust God to provide what is needed in the right amounts and at the right time.

About this Plan

Seasons of life can feel uncertain or uncharted—no clear map. No instructions. Just a nudge to move forward, even when you’re not sure where you’re going. Faith can feel the same way. It can sometimes feel like we’re following God into places that feel too big, too strange, or too complicated. In this devotional, we’ll walk with Moses and wrestle with what it means to trust a God who invites us to move forward even when the road ahead is uncertain.
