Understanding RighteousnessSample

The Nature of God and Righteousness
Scripture: Isaiah 45:21
“Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior. There is none besides Me."
Devotional
To truly understand righteousness, we ought to understand the nature and character of God—He is righteous in everything He does. Consider how God's own nature sets the standard that He then graciously restores to us as a gift. It is not something we achieve by our own actions, but a right standing that is ours through faith in the finished work of Jesus. As we acknowledge Him as Savior, we are invited into His own likeness. In the beginning, God established the identity and purpose of humanity when He declared, "Let us make man in our own image and likeness" (Genesis 1:26). This is why the standard for believers is righteousness.
Reflection Questions:
How does the absolute righteousness of God influence my understanding of the perfect standard He required?
Am I resting fully in the gift of Imputed Righteousness (the restoration) that I received through faith?
Prayer Declaration
Righteous God, I worship You because You are holy and always right. I thank You for the incredible gift of righteousness, which makes me right in Your sight. I receive this gift by faith and declare that my position with You is based on Your righteous nature and the finished work of Christ. Amen.

About this Plan

Righteousness is a gift. It is not something you work for, struggle for, or attain through personal effort. This 18-day plan from Pastor Stephen Waiganjo and Ruach West Assembly is designed to help you explore how the Gift of Righteousness is your permanent, non-negotiable qualification. Through reflection, and prayer, we invite you to move past the weight of human effort and rest in the grace of your right standing with God.
