Understanding Righteousness

DAY 9 OF 18

The True Task: Reconciliation

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."

Devotional

As believers, we are invited into the joy of sharing the Gospel and the task of reconciling others to God. This reconciliation isn't found by highlighting the failures of others, but by sharing the wonderful news that God is no longer counting those sins against them. As Christ’s ambassadors, we have the privilege of urging the world to see that they can be made right with God through the sacrifice of Christ.

Reflection Questions:

  • Am I fulfilling my role as Christ's ambassador, reconciling people to God by sharing the Good News and not counting their sins?
  • Do I spend more time exposing sin in others or offering the solution of righteousness in Christ?

Prayer Declaration

Lord, help me to reject the misconception that my works or obedience to the Law make me right with You. Empower me to be an effective ambassador of reconciliation, sharing the wonderful message of righteousness and forgiveness with others. Amen.

About this Plan

Understanding Righteousness

Righteousness is a gift. It is not something you work for, struggle for, or attain through personal effort. This 18-day plan from Pastor Stephen Waiganjo and Ruach West Assembly is designed to help you explore how the Gift of Righteousness is your permanent, non-negotiable qualification. Through reflection, and prayer, we invite you to move past the weight of human effort and rest in the grace of your right standing with God.
