Understanding RighteousnessSample

Triumph Over Sin
Scripture: Romans 5:17 (NLT)
“For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”
Devotional
The gift of righteousness serves as a source of strength for our daily walk. As we embrace and rely on this gift, we often find ourselves empowered by grace to live in victory over sin. When we struggle, we are invited to consider if we have fully rested in the significance of the gift we've received. Rather than compromising our birthright like Esau, we can choose to treasure our salvation, finding that this value is what truly guards our hearts. The gift of righteousness is your qualification to triumph. Appropriate it. Accept it. Walk in it.
Reflection Questions:
- Do I see the gift of righteousness as the power source for my daily victory over sin, or do I rely on my own will?
- What temporary thing in my life is more valuable than the infinite value of the gift I have received?
Prayer Declaration
Lord, I thank You for giving me the gift of righteousness, which makes me right in Your sight and grants me the ability to live in triumph over sin and death. Teach me to appropriate this gift and to walk in the victory I have in Christ Jesus. Amen.

About this Plan

Righteousness is a gift. It is not something you work for, struggle for, or attain through personal effort. This 18-day plan from Pastor Stephen Waiganjo and Ruach West Assembly is designed to help you explore how the Gift of Righteousness is your permanent, non-negotiable qualification. Through reflection, and prayer, we invite you to move past the weight of human effort and rest in the grace of your right standing with God.
