Understanding Righteousness

DAY 11 OF 18

Condemnation vs. Righteousness

Scripture: Romans 3:23-24 (NLT)

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins."

Devotional

The message of righteousness is the answer to the weight of condemnation. While condemnation reminds us of our guilt and failure, God’s grace declares us "not guilty" through Jesus. Even when we fall short, we are encouraged to remember that our righteousness relies on faith in His work, not on our fluctuating feelings. In Christ, we can find a life free from the hold of shame, because His one act of righteousness has replaced our sin.

Reflection Questions:

  • When I fail, do I allow the voice of condemnation to rule me, or do I immediately stand on the truth of my righteousness in Christ?
  • How can I appropriate the truth that I am declared not guilty because of Christ’s finished work?

Prayer Declaration

Lord, I thank You that the finished work of Your Son has declared me not guilty. I reject every condemning voice and embrace the truth that I am made right. I will walk in the freedom and life that Your gift of righteousness provides. Amen.

About this Plan

Understanding Righteousness

Righteousness is a gift. It is not something you work for, struggle for, or attain through personal effort. This 18-day plan from Pastor Stephen Waiganjo and Ruach West Assembly is designed to help you explore how the Gift of Righteousness is your permanent, non-negotiable qualification. Through reflection, and prayer, we invite you to move past the weight of human effort and rest in the grace of your right standing with God.
