Genesis: Chapter by ChapterSample

I once left a tray of broccoli in the oven before heading out on a week-long trip. When I finally returned home, the sight, and smell, were overwhelming. The damage wasn’t limited to the tray. The mess had spread, and cleaning it required far more effort than I ever expected.
That’s a picture of what happened after the fall. Sin doesn’t stay contained. It spreads quickly, seeping into families, relationships, and entire societies. In the generations after Adam and Eve, violence increased, pride hardened hearts, and corruption became widespread. Yet even as sin multiplied, God remained patient, continuing His loving pursuit of humanity.
In the midst of that darkness, Noah stands out. While others ignored God’s voice, Noah listened and obeyed. His faithfulness didn’t make him popular, but it did make him righteous in God’s sight. God’s judgment through the flood was serious and sobering, yet His preservation of Noah and his family reveals something deeper: God’s unwavering commitment to redemption and new beginnings.
