DAY 2 OF 20

What’s the best gift you’ve ever been given? Not the biggest, most expensive, grandiose gift you’ve ever received, but instead, the most personal, impactful, personally valuable gift. The kind of gift that makes you think, Gosh, this person really knows me. This person really loves me. Whether we realize it or not, all of us have been given a gift that great: Jesus. When God sent His Son to Earth to live, die, and come back to life, He wasn’t just offering us a quick fix to avoid the consequences of our sins. He was offering us the real-life evidence of His great love for us. That love is what motivated God to give us Jesus. That love is what pushed Jesus to the cross under the weight of our sins. And that love is what led Him to rise again and defeat death once and for all. Truly, there is no greater gift of God’s love on display for us than Jesus.

In the moments we find ourselves unsure of God’s love for us, we can look back to Jesus—from His birth to death to life again—to see proof that God does love us… always.

About this Plan

Always

As humans, we all wonder what God is really like? Is God kind, loving, powerful, attentive, loyal? Is God distant, unfair, harsh, judgmental, or absent? In other words, we’re asking: what can we be sure is always true about who God is? In this devotional, we’ll look to Scripture to explore those questions and ground the answers in unshakeable, unchangeable truth, uncovering more about who God is and why we can trust Him not just now, but always.
