Psalm 37:7-8 – Resolute
The stage is set. Every word, action, and reaction fully obeys His Father’s will. Now Jesus’ resolve is steady as He approaches Jerusalem. He understands completely what lies ahead. “…the chief priest and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.” Matthew 26:3-4
Today’s psalm can serve as a depiction of Jesus’ actions as He faced the most tremendous turmoil of His mission. Today, may Jesus’ example and the words of this psalm guide you through any hardship you encounter - “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret…” (vs. 7).
